1. General
This agreement between you or the company you represent and Les Ateliers. Whether you've registered a free account, or whether you have subscribed in one of the courses offered by Les Ateliers, you or the company you represent become bound by these Terms of Service. In the event that you or the company you represent do not agree to these Terms of Service, do not use any of the products offered by Les Ateliers.
2. Products and Services
Les
Ateliers' course Jewelry Design & Sketching is fully accessible by paid
subscription for the duration of one month, after which the subscription will
automatically be renewed. You may earn a Certificate of Completion if you
submit your Design Challenge within 90 days of subscribing, provided it is
complete and correctly executed. The decision as to when to subscribe and when
to cancel your subscription is entirely yours to make, since Les Ateliers does
not involve itself in doing that for you. Failure to cancel your subscription
on time does not oblige Les Ateliers to provide reimbursement.
4. Streaming
You are solely responsible for all fees and costs that arise from using Les Ateliers' website and its services. This includes the acquisition and maintenance of all telephone service, internet and streaming service, computer hardware and software, and any other equipment or software required for access and use of our services. You are solely responsible for all fees and costs pertaining to the supplies necessary to complete your online course.
Les
Ateliers has no influence over the transmission from its servers to
your device. Hence, Les Ateliers is not responsible for the quality,
speed, the consistency or any other issues concerning your internet
connection and/or your service provider. Neither is Les Ateliers
responsible for such issues arising from any part of your network
system or your streaming device(s). You are solely responsible for
the quality, speed, the consistency or any other issues concerning
your internet connection and/or your service provider, any part of
your network system or your streaming device(s) and their respective
reliability.
5. Links
You may encounter links that may direct you away from our website. Les Ateliers does not control any of these websites and hence cannot assume any liability in this regard. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.
Likewise,
Les Ateliers is not responsible for any security threats you might
encounter on other sites, such as adware, browser hijacking or
similar malicious code, as we have no control over other websites.
6. Academic Content and Presentation
We stand by the relevance and the quality of our educational services. At the same time we are aware that there are many ways to communicate the information we present. We are also aware that there are auxiliary methods, but this is the didactic method we have chosen to the best of our knowledge and our capability and we shall not be held accountable in any way for the applicability or the correctness of what is presented, or the method by which it is presented.
To
this end Les Ateliers has provided numerous preview videos that are
excerpts from individual video lectures and made them freely
available online. It is your responsibility to look at them and for
the sake of making an informed decision prior to subscribing.
7. Copyright
Whenever you decide to access and/or use Les Ateliers' products you must be in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the laws relating to copyright and the use of intellectual property. You agree not to provide incorrect information, knowingly or false.
You must not share your user name and password with anyone, or otherwise share access and/or use of Les Ateliers' products. Neither will you copy, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, deface, hack or otherwise interfere with the contents or operation of Les Ateliers' site. Likewise, you shall not gain unauthorized access to other accounts, introduce a computer virus, worm, spy-ware, file, program or other computer code that might damage or hijack the operation of any hardware, software, or other equipment, or impede and/or corrupt the operation of Les Ateliers' website in any way.
All academic, video, audio and printed content on Les Ateliers' website is the property of Les Ateliers. Whatever content you, the user, upload to Les Ateliers' website, is your property and protected as such. By uploading content you warrant that you have the rights, consents, licenses and permissions and that Les Ateliers will not be responsible for obtaining those rights, consents, licenses and permissions in your stead. As a result, Les Ateliers is under no obligation whatsoever to purchase, reimburse or pay any third party for any proprietary content you have posted, knowingly or not.
Whatever
content you post, you hereby grant Les Ateliers and its users to
distribute or otherwise use publicly. You have the right to remove
any or all of that content at any time and without notice, thereby
terminating the right of Les Ateliers and its users to distribute or
otherwise use publicly.
8. Conduct
You agree to access and/or use Les Ateliers' website for lawful purposes only. It is your responsibility to adhere to all laws, rules and regulations. You shall not use Les Ateliers' website to upload or post advertising or promotional materials, junk mail, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, offensive, racist, hateful, defamatory, libelous, sexist, pornographic, false, misleading, threatening or intimidating content and/or materials, or recruit or solicit other users for unlawful activity of any kind.
You agree to abide by the code of conduct that governs all social media, specifically:

Providing links or citations is beneficial to others as it allows them to see where information was gathered from and allows for further investigation and research into the topic. If something has been posted in error, please admit and correct the mistake as soon as possible.
Identities and facts should not be hidden or misrepresented when posting.
8.D. Copyright and Fair Use
Remember to give others credit for their work and ideas. Do not post work by others without the proper permission and/or citation of the work.
8.E. Confidentiality
Respect
the confidentiality of others. Do not share information that is not
meant to be common knowledge. Use caution when posting personal
information.
9. Age of Consent
By
using this site, you
affirm that you are either 18 years of age or older, or an
emancipated minor, or possess legal parental or guardian consent, and
are fully able and competent to enter into these terms, conditions,
obligations, affirmations, representations and warranties set forth
in these Terms of Service. In any case, you affirm that you are over
the age of 13 as the online courses are not intended for children
under 13. If you under 13 years of age, do not use Les Ateliers'
website or any of its products.
10. Termination and Reimbursements
The website of Les Ateliers is purposefully designed to provide comprehensive information about the courses offered. Numerous preview videos that are excerpts from individual video lectures are freely available online to ensure that you've reached an informed decision prior to subscribing. Hence, Les Ateliers shall not provide cancellations or reimbursements whatsoever.
Since subscriptions are automatically renewed after one month, it is your responsibility to cancel the subscription if you no longer wish to access the courses offered by Les Ateliers. Failure to cancel your subscription on time does not oblige Les Ateliers to provide reimbursement.
Les
Ateliers may terminate your use of its products and services
immediately and without notice for any breach of any of these Terms
of Service on your part and cancel your account. You are also free to
cancel your subscription and cease accessing the content and services
of Les Ateliers at any time. Les Ateliers is under no obligation to
retain your account or any content thereof beyond what might be
applicable by law.
11. Applicable Law
The
law of the State of California shall govern the validity,
interpretation and enforcement of these Terms and Services.
12. Questions and Contact Information
These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement between you and Les Ateliers relating to the matters set forth herein, and shall not be modified except in writing, as posted on the Class Sites by Les Ateliers or through a specific writing between you and Les Ateliers.
